Welcome new members: to the Bureaux communityWelcome to our new members! We have had over 60 new memberships in September and October so there are lots of new faces to be seen around Bureaux. For those of you who are new to Bureaux membership, don't be shy about talking to other Bureaux members or our team, who are only too happy to help. We are delighted to have you all as a part of the Bureaux community. We love faster internet: and it's on our doorstepOver the past 3 months Bureaux has been working behind the scenes to give you faster wireless internet, and it's almost here! We have doubled our wireless signal strength, and engaged data pipes 5 times the bandwidth of our old speeds. This is great news for members, and we look forward to finalising this integration before the end of the month. To ensure that security of our wireless internet service remains tight, we will identify your laptop onto the system once, and after that you will no longer need to login or use passwords to use the internet (which will be especially welcome in Melbourne!). We warmly appreciate your cooperation during the change-over period. New looks & sounds: @ BureauxTo ensure our Bureaux Crew members are easy to identify on-site, we have new uniforms and new name tags, and thanks to everyone who has given us feedback on the new look. Bureaux has also spent a great deal of time creating a new music library, which is being trialled in Melbourne right now and will land in Sydney shortly. Bureaux will come alive with the sounds of modern acid jazz, international chillout favourites, lounge, and world music. New Artworks: for your viewing pleasureBureaux is delighted to announce the addition of some amazing new pieces of art in our Melbourne. The renowned photographer Jeremy Park, artist Emma Hack (who was featured in last weeks edition of Grazia magazine, and artist Grant Cohen have all been added to our walls and look fabulous. If you visit our website page featuring our Artworks, you can find out more about the artists and their art. Sydney members, don't feel left out! We have plans underway for a revamp and refresh of the Sydney site, so hang in there, as your time is coming soon! The Race That Stops a Nation: Tuesday 3rd NovemberThe glamourous Melbourne Cup is on again on Tuesday 3rd November. The Melbourne site will be closed on this day, as it's a Melbourne public holiday. It will reopen for business as usual on Wedneday 4th November. The Melbourne Cup does not affect our Sydney site, which will be open for business as usual. Good luck and we hope you pick a winner! Christmas @ Bureaux: The silly season is almost upon us!All Bureaux sites will be closing on the following dates over the Christmas season. - Close: 1.00PM Thursday 24th December (Christmas Eve)
- Reopen: 7.30am Monday 4th January
We wish you all a safe and happy festive season! Talk to us: it won't take longThis week, Bureaux will be sending out two online surveys (don't worry, they are both very brief!). The purpose of these surveys is to firstly set up an engaging, relevant and interesting calendar of events and networking opportunities that are directly in line with what our members want. Secondly, we want to know when you have been 'caught short' while travelling for business, so we can ensure we have the right services for our many frequent business travellers. While we know that phone and laptop chargers are always a popular 'leave at home by accident' item, we know there's much more out there, and we want to know what's affected you. These surveys will directly feed into our plans for next year and the first five repondants to each survey will receive a free month added to their memberships, so get clicking when the surveys come through! |
