Happy New Year!

The Bureaux team wishes you a safe and prosperous 2010 and we look forward to seeing you on site. Bureaux has reopened as of today and it's business as usual, and our regular opening hours apply:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 7.30am - 6.30pm

Just a reminder, if you wish to book an evening or weekend room or event, do let us know, as many of our members are enjoying out of hours bookings. A small surcharge applies.

Welcome: New Bureaux Team Members

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Zoe Ferguson, who is looking after Reception in Sydney while Belinda is travelling. Belinda will be back on deck in February, and hopefully she'll come back with a raft of stories to tell.

In more Sydney news, you may have noticed that Miriam's maternity leave is looming. We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Austin as our new Sydney Site Manager. Rob has a great track record and we look forward to having him on board. He starts in early February, so he will be working side-by-side with Miriam for a few weeks before she goes on her maternity leave.

In Melbourne, we welcome Kasey Harrison as our new Receptionist. Kasey comes from Channel 10 Reception and is quite a go-getter, and she has started with us today.

Also starting with us today in Melbourne is Peter Freeman, who is manning the coffee machine. Peter will be running the food and beverage function on a full-time basis, and is already getting stuck into things with zeal. Welcome Peter.

Security Update: Don't forget your card

Just a gentle reminder to remember to bring your swipe cards.

We have very secure sites and our members feel comfortable leaving their gear around, which we want to continue. A key reason for this is that our members and their guests require appropriate ID to gain access, and your card is the best ID there is.

Email Update: for Members

Some of you have experienced issues since our IT changeover sending outgoing emails. This is a matter we have taken very seriously and have worked over the break to solve it. We have tested this revised solution this morning with a handful of members to great success.

This applies to all members: when you are next at Bureaux, please provide Reception with the domain name of your outgoing email server (eg www.bigpond.net.au, or www.yourbusiness.com.au), and notify us immediately if you are experiencing difficulties.

We need to set up all domains as a once-off, and once set up outgoing emails will flow seamlessly.
