Welcome: New Bureaux MembersBureaux would like to extend a warm welcome to our new members, who are too numerous to refer to individually. We also have a large number of members who are choosing to re-join Bureaux after time away, and it's great that people are coming back to be a part of the community. Please make our new members welcome. Facebook: Finally! Bureaux is finally on Facebook! There's not much there yet, but we want you to be our friends.
This is all very new for us and we definitely welcome our member's feedback, as we want this to be a great community for you all. We want to design a profile that's useful for you as a community, so we've kept is simple and are essentially allowing our members to tell us what they want. Please visit our FaceBook site, leave comments and suggestions, and we'll keep working on it. LinkedIn is next. Your Bureaux Community: is going to networkWe have a lot of members who have spoken to us about wanting to meet other members, to both network and do business with them. We also have a lot of members who are curious as to who our other members are. The next phase of our website development will include a member login section with an online directory of members (this is, of course, opt-in and not mandatory), which we have mentioned to a handful of members to positive feedback. In the meantime, we wanted to poll the idea of profiling two members (one Sydney, one Melbourne) with each edition of this eNewsletter so you can learn more about who is the community. Send us an email with your thoughts, and if you'd like to be one of the members profiled. Events: Keep your eyes peeledWe are developing a new events calendar for the balance of 2010 for the Sydney and Melbourne sites and will host a blend of networking nights, wine and food tasting nights, and special events. Keep your eyes peeled as dates and times come through on the email. New Faces: @ BureauxWe would like to announce the arrival of Miranda Grace, our new Site Manager, Melbourne. Miranda joins us from the events and sponsorship team at Tennis Australia, and prior to that has a fabulous wealth of experience in events, marketing and management at a range of major sporting clubs, associations, and major corporates. We are also pleased to welcome Lisa Bogdanovic, our new Company Accountant. Lisa started with us two months ago and it's great to have her on board. Raimond Volpe has also joined the Bureaux team as our National Sales & Marketing Manager and has already had a tremendous impact and is making himself known to our members. In Melbourne, Cecile Allen is leading our hospitality team and we are loving both her service and her great coffees. It's a very exciting time for us and we warmly welcome our new team members. New Meeting Rooms: in Melbourne availableMelbourne is pleased to advise we have two new meeting rooms available to book. Room Two is a comfy, light-filled room that seats 4-6 people, and the Interview Room is a stylish, formal lounge seated room, in a similar vein to our popular library. Please ask the Melbourne Reception team for a tour if you'd like to have a look and make a booking. We are also going to refurbish Room Three in a lounge style, due to popular demand, in the coming weeks. Security Update: Don't forget your card Just a gentle reminder for members to please remember to bring your swipe cards with you.
We have very secure sites and our members feel comfortable leaving their gear around, which we want to continue. A key reason for this is that our members and their guests require appropriate ID to gain access, and your card is the best ID there is. Thank you for your cooperation. |
