The low down on Lonsdale

It's nearly a month since we opened our doors at Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, and for those of you that were able to join us at the opening night, we trust you enjoyed it as much as we did! Opening our Melbourne site was an important milestone, both in servicing an important business travel route, and to extend our service offering for existing members. We look forward to continued growth!

Fast Fact > Did you know your membership entitles you to use both Bureaux sites? We look forward to seeing you there on your next trip.

Strategic Alliance with American Express

The Melbourne opening was also an opportunity to announce a strategic partnership with American Express Small Business Services in Australia. We see the alliance as a positive alignment between two companies servicing the small business community, and we look forward to developing the relationship further. Thanks to Raj Ray, Head of Small Business Services at American Express, for helping us open the new site.

Quick Note > A full press release of the strategic alliance can be found on the news section of our website.

Variety Bush Bash

Some of our more intrepid members of staff got involved with the 2006 Variety Newcastle NRMA Insurance Bash recently. Variety is a children's Charity', raising money for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children, so Bureaux jumped at the chance to sponsor the 'Wallopers', a specially adapted 1964 EH Holden sedan police car!

What is it they say ..... you can take the girl out of the
city, but you can't take the city out of the girl? We have it on good authority that Rachel Bennett and Aisha Arnaout did, in fact, cope extremely well with the dirt, speed and lack of creature comforts!

During the event, Ian Trevallion donated AUD$2,500, on behalf of Bureaux, to a public school in his hometown of  Gunnedah.

The Breakfast Club (West End Business Association)

Bureaux recently sponsored a breakfast briefing on 28th June in Melbourne, hosted by the West End Business Association. Established 10 years ago, the association represents local business interests in Melbourne, consisting of local and metropolitan companies, a large variety of SME firms and various institutions and corporate identities.

The guest speaker was Rod Young, Executive Director of DC Strategy (formerly Deacons Consulting), who delivered a speech on the topic 'How to capitalise on Business Networks'. Bureaux look forward to being involved with more local business initiatives in the future.

Franchise Opportunities

Lastly, Bureaux are currently working with DC Strategy in developing a franchise model for the business. By introducing a franchise, we are able to grow the business across the globe, which provides our members with an unrivalled, international services in the heart of the city, no matter where that city is! Whilst we are in preliminary stages, the opportunity will be available soon. Expressions of interest are welcomed.
